Life can be so sweet...on the sunny side of the street...in Shrewsbury.
I made this drawing to celebrate my home town. I have lived here for twenty years now and come to love the meandering streets and shuts of the old town centre that lies within a loop of the River Severn. The street names are idiosyncratic and evocative of a long history. All the buildings are very varied and I have mixed them up which is the way it feels when you wander around the town. I've had fun trying out the drawing in different colours. Soon to be available online.

My open studio on Saturday was great fun and a fab day! Thanks to everyone who came along. We all felt very Christmassy and jolly! We had lovely mulled wine making the house smell gorgeous, an old fashioned Christmas tree and mince pies of course. Here are a few pics of the studio with the tiny shop I set up. It was such fun being a shopkeeper for a day and nice to help people out with their gifts. We also raised a nice big sum to send off to Macmillan Cancer Support which includes a percentage of takings and donations.
